Day 1: Arrive Haldwani & Transfer to Lansdowne Upon arrival in Haldwani via your domestic flight, you will be met by our English-speaking representative for assistance. A scenic drive of approximately 5 hours (217 km) takes you up into the beautiful hills to your hotel in Lansdowne. Check in to your suite and relax for the evening. Enjoy an overnight stay with dinner included.
Day 2: Lansdowne & Optional Cheer Forest Drive Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a day at leisure. We highly recommend the optional Cheer Forest Drive. Head out in an open-top jeep with a naturalist, following a scenic route that rises from the riverbanks to the pine forests above. Along the way, watch for subtle traces of wildlife, such as yellow-throated martens, barking deer, and perhaps even leopards on a late evening drive. Enjoy your overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 3: Day at Leisure in Lansdowne Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before spending the day at leisure. You might choose to explore the quiet town of Lansdowne, take a gentle hike through the surrounding forests, or simply relax at The Sen to take in the panoramic mountain views. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 4: Drive to Binsar: Check out from the hotel early-doors, with breakfast to take away and begin your scenic drive towards Binsar. This journey takes approximately 10-hours (330 km), but offers rich scenery and a lunch-stop before taking you deeper into the breathtaking Kumaon region. For those who prefer we can arrange a mid-point overnight stay off to break up the journey. Please note that as normal cars cannot access the Mary Budden Estate, you and your luggage will be smoothly transferred to your accommodation via a 4x4 jeep from Simba lodge. Upon arrival, check in and settle into your cottage. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 5: Binsar & Optional Hodgson's Chronicles Start your morning with breakfast at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, or choose to partake in the optional Hodgson's Chronicles excursion. This immersive experience takes you into the heart of the tranquil Binsar forest, where you will encounter nearly 179 species of birds unique to the area. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 6: Day at Leisure in Binsar Following breakfast at the hotel, the day is yours to enjoy at a relaxed pace. Take the time to discover the beautiful Mary Budden Estate, read a book by a crackling fire, or take a peaceful nature walk through the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary to witness spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks. Enjoy your final overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 7: Departure Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel. Check out in the morning and transfer to Pantnagar airport, a drive of approximately 5 hours (144 km), in good time to board your onward flight. Safe travels.
