Day 1: Arrive Leh & Acclimatise Upon arrival in Leh via your domestic flight, you will be warmly met by our English-speaking representative for assistance. Transfer to your beautiful hotel, check in, and spend the rest of the day completely at leisure to relax and acclimatise to the high altitude. Enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 2: Day at Leisure in Leh Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure for independent activities. We highly recommend spending time in the serene surroundings of The Postcard in the Himalayan Willows, perhaps enjoying a quiet walk through the grounds, unwinding with a book, or savouring the local Ladakhi cuisine. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast included.
Day 3: Leh & Optional Sightseeing Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before spending the day at leisure. Alternatively, you can choose an optional sightseeing tour of Leh. This begins early in the morning with a visit to Thiksey Monastery for the morning prayer. The monastery is iconic for the piercing, echoing sound of long horns and conch shells blown from the rooftop at dawn, carrying across the entire Indus Valley. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, you will visit the nine-storey dun-coloured Leh Palace for sweeping views of Leh and the surrounding Zanskar mountains. You will then visit the Hall of Fame and enjoy a spectacular sunset at the Shanti Stupa. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast included.
Day 4: Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Following breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your drive towards the Nubra Valley via the breathtaking Khardung La pass (approximately 137 km, 4 hours). This pass is renowned as the world's highest motorable road at an altitude of 5,602 metres above sea level. Nubra Valley, originally called Ldumra or the valley of flowers, is widely known as the orchard of Ladakh. Upon arrival in the tranquil village of Tegar, check in at Lchang Nang Retreat and relax amidst the lush tree groves. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast included.
Day 5: Nubra Valley & Optional Sightseeing Start your morning with breakfast at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, or partake in an optional sightseeing tour of Nubra. This excursion includes a scenic drive to the Diskit Monastery, famous for its iconic statue of Maitreya Buddha and stunning architecture. Perched at an altitude of 3,145 metres, it overlooks the Shyok Valley, offering panoramic views of the lush meadows and river. Later, visit the picturesque Hunder Sand Dunes, where a two-humped Bactrian camel safari transports you back to the vintage era of the Silk Route against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast included.
Day 6: Day at Leisure in Lchang Nang Following breakfast at the retreat, the day is yours to enjoy at a completely relaxed pace. Take the time to discover the beautiful 'House of Trees' property, perhaps taking a peaceful walk through the surrounding elm, apricot, and willow groves, enjoying a holistic wellness experience, or stargazing under the incredibly clear Himalayan night sky. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast included.
Day 7: Departure Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel. Check out in the morning and transfer to Leh airport (approximately 75 km, 3 hours) in good time to board your flight for your onward destination. Safe travels.
