Day 1: Arrive Nagpur & Transfer to Pench Upon arrival in Nagpur, you will be met by our English-speaking representative for assistance and transferred directly to your camp (140 km, approximately 3.5 hours). Located in the Chhindwara and Seoni districts of Madhya Pradesh, Pench is an ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers, situated beautifully in the southern reaches of the Satpura hill ranges. Arrive and check in at your hotel from 14:00 hrs, leaving the evening at leisure to settle into your surroundings. Enjoy an overnight stay with dinner included.
Day 2: Safari Day in Pench National Park Today includes two private game drives in Pench National Park. Spend your day exploring the lower southern reaches of the Satpura hills, which famously provided the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book and marks our first chance to see our very own Shere Khan. This designated tiger reserve is home to around 45 Bengal tigers, as well as leopards, wolves, monkeys, deer, and nilgai. Between drives, you can arrange a unique star-bed experience through the property to sleep safely under the open canopy. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 3: Safari Day in Pench National Park Enjoy another incredible day in the wilderness with morning and afternoon game drives. Keep your eyes peeled for the incredible creatures that live here as your expert naturalist tracks alarm calls through the forest. In the evening, unwind by the campfire or request a guided nature walk around the camp's periphery to discover the smaller wonders of the jungle. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 4: Drive to Panna National Park Following breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin your drive through the rural countryside, past the farmlands of Madhya Pradesh to Panna National Park.
A note on your journey: This is a scenic but long drive of approximately 9 hours (414 km). To beautifully break up the route, we highly recommend an optional two-night stopover in Jabalpur. This allows you to explore the spectacular Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat and take a peaceful boat ride along the Narmada River before continuing your journey north to Panna.
Upon arrival in Panna, check in at your luxury lodge and spend the evening relaxing. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 5: Safari Day in Panna National Park
Set off early this morning for your private 4WD game drive through the varied landscapes of Panna National Park. The park's topography provides truly stunning scenery, made up of thick teak forests separated by wide plateaus and gorges. The lazy Ken River flows through the park, acting as its main water source and cascading down stacked rocks to form impressive waterfalls. Panna is highly renowned for its exceptional birdlife with over 200 recorded species, including vultures, eagles, and the colourful Asian Paradise Flycatcher. Enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 6: Safari Day in Panna National Park
Savour another day of wilderness exploration with two private safaris. While tracking Panna's resident tigers and leopards, take in the dramatic landscapes shaped by the river. Back at the property, you can enquire about an exclusive bush dinner surrounded by the sounds of the night forest, or enjoy a sunset sundowner overlooking the water. Day 7: Departure to Khajuraho
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out in the morning. You will be transferred to Khajuraho airport (45 km, approximately 1.5 hours) in good time to board your flight for your onward destination. Safe travels
